As a self-employed tattoo artist or piercer, you&#8217;re not really allowed to do that: you have to do it yourself all the time. And if you&#8217;re already so unwell, you certainly don&#8217;t want to have to call all your customers, cancel appointments, find and make alternative appointments.  <\/p>\n<p>An Insta post is not a real alternative for this, as far too many people wouldn&#8217;t see it and would still stand in front of a closed door, rightly annoyed.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m glad that this problem has been solved for us. I quickly put a blog post on our website (&#8220;Sorry, our Tara is unfortunately ill&#8221;) with all the information about how long she will be absent, that we are terribly sorry and also offer a button that those affected can use to book a replacement appointment directly. Then, with just a few clicks, I send a corresponding circular (email or SMS) with a link to the blog post to the customers concerned:  <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>&#8220;Hello  &lt;First name&gt;Your appointment on  &lt;Date&gt;  with  &lt;Artist&gt;  unfortunately has to be canceled, she is ill. You can find everything else about your alternative date here: &#8230;&#8221;. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The placeholders are automatically replaced by the customer and appointment data:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>&#8220;Hello Tom, unfortunately your appointment with Tara on 4.10.2021 has to be canceled, she is ill.
