
There, the tax inspector photographs the paper calendars with a digital camera, then pulls up the images with a special program on the computer and can then read everything that has been erased at some point. The rest that comes next should be clear to everyone.
And in case not everyone knows it yet: you are obliged to hand over your calendars, 10 years retroactively. If these are missing, the auditor can add an annual turnover of 5-15%, for which VAT and income tax are then due.
It’s only a matter of time before the German authorities copy this technique. And as I said: 10 years retroactively. Our advice: take advantage of the many opportunities for legal tax-saving models. All you need is a competent tax advisor and perhaps €150 for individual, expert advice.
